ClickOps & Cloud Account Setup Services

We set up AWS and Azure environments properly, multi-account landing zones, IAM/SSO, security baselines, billing controls, and Terraform-managed infrastructure, so you never have to untangle ClickOps debt later.

Whether you are starting from scratch or cleaning up a console-built environment, we build the foundation that makes everything else easier: cost visibility, security guardrails, and infrastructure that can be reproduced.

Pain points we fix

First AWS or Azure account needs a proper setup

A landing zone with guardrails, correct IAM, billing alerts, and security baselines from day one helps avoid technical debt.

Everything was set up by clicking in the console

ClickOps creates undocumented, unrepeatable infrastructure. We inventory what exists and migrate it to Terraform for safe, repeatable management.

Root account is used for everything

The root account should be locked away with MFA and never used for daily work. We configure IAM users, roles, and SSO correctly.

No billing alerts or cost visibility

Surprise cloud bills happen when spend notifications are not set up. We configure AWS Budgets or Azure Cost Management with meaningful thresholds from day one.

Security alerts are all noise

We configure AWS Security Hub, GuardDuty, and Config Rules (or Microsoft Defender for Cloud/Sentinel) with suppression rules for expected findings so real alerts stand out.

Multiple accounts with no governance

AWS Organizations or Azure Management Groups with Service Control Policies enforce guardrails across all accounts without requiring manual enforcement.

Our process

  1. 01

    Current state assessment

We audit your existing cloud accounts, document what was built via ClickOps, identify security gaps, and assess billing configuration. Output: risk report and landing zone design.

  2. 02

    Landing zone design

Account structure, networking topology, IAM/SSO design, and security baseline agreed with your team. All decisions documented in an architecture decision record.

  3. 03

    Implementation via Terraform

Landing zone provisioned entirely in Terraform. Security services enabled, billing alerts configured, and IAM/SSO set up. Existing ClickOps resources imported where feasible.

  4. 04

    ClickOps to IaC migration

Remaining manually created resources imported into Terraform state and managed going forward. Team trained on the IaC workflow so no new ClickOps resources are created.

FAQ

What is ClickOps?
ClickOps refers to managing cloud infrastructure by clicking through the web console instead of using code. It is fast to start but creates undocumented, unrepeatable infrastructure that becomes increasingly risky to change.
What is a cloud landing zone?
A landing zone is a pre-built, secure cloud environment with guardrails, correct IAM, networking, logging, security services, and cost management, ready before workloads arrive. It prevents the governance debt that builds when teams provision resources without structure.
How long does a landing zone setup take?
It depends on the number of accounts, networking, SSO and security requirements. Timing is confirmed in the written scope.
Can you migrate our existing ClickOps resources to Terraform?
Yes. We use terraform import to bring existing resources under Terraform management without recreating them. We prioritise by risk, most critical and most complex resources first.
What is AWS Control Tower?
Control Tower is an AWS managed service for setting up a multi-account landing zone with guardrails, logging, and SSO preconfigured. It accelerates landing zone setup but has some limitations we work around with Terraform.
Do you set up security services as part of the landing zone?
Yes. GuardDuty (threat detection), Security Hub (compliance aggregation), Config Rules (resource compliance), and CloudTrail (audit logging) can be enabled across your accounts, depending on the agreed scope.
