Cloud Migration Services

We migrate on-premises and legacy infrastructure to AWS or Azure with minimal downtime where the workload allows, compliance requirements considered from the start, and cost controls in place early. From discovery and planning to final cutover and post-migration optimisation.

Cloud migration is not just lifting servers. It is an opportunity to improve security, reduce costs, and set up the operating model that will serve you long term. We plan carefully to reduce rework.

Pain points we fix

On-premises infrastructure is expensive to maintain

Cloud migration can reduce hardware refresh cycles and data centre costs, and offers pay-as-you-go scaling.

No clear migration strategy

We use the 6Rs framework (Rehost, Replatform, Refactor, Repurchase, Retire, Retain) to categorise every workload and choose the right migration approach.

Fear of downtime during cutover

We use parallel run periods, database replication, and blue-green cutovers to migrate workloads with minimal downtime where the workload allows.

Compliance and data residency requirements

We design migrations with technical controls that help support GDPR, HIPAA, and PCI-DSS requirements, and choose AWS or Azure regions to match any residency requirements you have. We do not give legal advice, and certification or attestation is issued by an independent auditor.

Post-migration costs are higher than expected

We right-size instances, implement auto-scaling, and plan commitment discounts early to help avoid unexpected cloud bills.

Legacy applications that cannot be containerised

Not everything needs to be refactored. We lift-and-shift legacy workloads safely, then plan incremental modernisation.

Our process

  1. 01

    Discovery and assessment

We inventory all workloads, measure dependencies, identify compliance requirements, and classify each workload using the 6Rs framework. Output: a migration roadmap with effort and risk scores.

  2. 02

    Landing zone setup

AWS Landing Zone or Azure Landing Zone provisioned with Terraform: networking, IAM, logging, security baselines, and cost management enabled before the first workload moves.

  3. 03

    Wave-based migration

Workloads migrated in waves, starting with non-critical systems. Each wave has a parallel run period, cutover plan, and rollback trigger. Databases migrated last with replication.

  4. 04

    Optimise and hand over

Post-migration cost review, performance baseline, security findings remediated, and full operations runbook written.

FAQ

How long does a cloud migration take?
It depends on the number of workloads, dependencies, data volumes, and compliance needs. Larger estates are usually multi-phase programmes. We scope the timeline in discovery.
AWS vs Azure, which cloud should we migrate to?
If you use Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Entra ID, Azure can integrate more naturally. AWS is a common choice for teams that want a broad service catalogue. We evaluate based on your existing tooling and future roadmap.
Can you migrate our databases without downtime?
Often, depending on the database engine and application. We use AWS Database Migration Service or Azure Database Migration Service with continuous replication so databases stay in sync until a brief final cutover window.
What is a cloud landing zone?
A landing zone is a pre-configured cloud environment with guardrails, networking, IAM, logging, cost management, and security baselines, ready before the first workload arrives. It prevents the ClickOps sprawl that makes cloud environments hard to govern.
Do you handle compliance requirements during migration?
We design migrations with technical controls that help support GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and SOC 2 requirements, choosing suitable regions, encryption approaches, and audit logging. We do not give legal advice, and certification or attestation is issued by an independent auditor; we do not certify.
What if a migration goes wrong?
Every wave has a written rollback plan and rollback trigger criteria agreed before cutover. For database migrations, where the engine supports it, we can maintain replication in reverse until the parallel run period confirms stability.
